Acceptable use policy

We source and manage infrastructure across multiple tier-one providers. Their rules bind us, and so they bind you. This policy exists to keep every customer’s service safe from the actions of any one customer.

You may not use a server we manage to

  • Send unsolicited bulk email or messages of any kind, or operate an open relay.
  • Host, distribute or control malware, phishing, or credential-harvesting content.
  • Operate a botnet, command-and-control node, or any part of a denial-of-service attack.
  • Mine cryptocurrency, or run any workload whose purpose is to consume compute you did not pay for.
  • Scan, probe or attack systems you do not own or have written permission to test.
  • Store or serve content that is illegal where we operate or where the content is served.
  • Infringe copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights.
  • Circumvent usage limits, resell capacity without agreement, or misrepresent who you are.

What we will do

If we have reasonable grounds to believe a server is being used in breach of this policy, we may suspend it immediately and without notice. We do this to protect other customers and our standing with upstream providers, and we will tell you why as soon as it is safe to. Repeated or serious breaches end the service.

Where the law or an upstream provider requires it, we may remove content or provide information to authorities. We will not do more than the law requires.

Reporting abuse

If you believe a server we manage is being used to harm you or others, use the abuse report form or write to support@datahall.cloud with the address involved, timestamps and evidence. Reports are read by a person and acted on around the clock.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes are announced to the email on your account before they take effect.
